Today's Pregnancy Outfit

I am in my 29th week. It is getting heavy, I am feeling acidic, and huff and puff all the time.
Have been meaning to post pictures of the clothes I made for my daughter; however, we were thrown a curveball here. After much insistance from my husband and me, a sleep study was performed on our daughter. It confirmed our suspicions that she had sleep apnea, and not just any sleep apnea but a "markedly severe" one. So, she had to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. The surgery went well; turned out she had oversized adenoids and adult-sized tonsils. The recovery has been bumpy though, very rough on her. Therefore, the pictures will have to wait a bit.
Had to run errands today, including find myself a new bra. Here is what I wore (t-shirt dress, leather jacket, tights and clogs):

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your daughter, and good for you and your husband for pushing for a proper evaluation when you knew something was wrong.

I love your pregnancy outfit posts! And I love your blog in general although I am an infrequent commenter. I referred today to your Sailor Pant post since I am working on a pair of similarly-styled shorts. It was very helpful!

Best wishes,

Kim

I hope your daughter recovers quickly! It's so hard to watch a little one go through surgery.

You look fabulous in that outfit!

It's great that you and your husband caught the issue so she could get surgery!

You look fabulous pregnant. Your outfits rock!

Oh, poor Emma! I'm glad to hear she's better. My son had minor surgery when he was that age too—no fun for anyone! You look fabulous in spite of everything.

Surgery is always very rough on the little ones... I'm glad Emma is doing better now.

You are definitely a very stylish pregnant woman! I love your outfit from head to toe!

I'm having a love affair with stripes at the moment, and recently made a breton style striped tunic/dress not unlike yours. You look darling!

I'm wondering if you use a dress form (when you are not preggo!) to create your garments. I've recently acquired one, and am surfing around for advice on how to pad it out and use it to it's fullest potential. Ideas?

MamaLucy, I use dressfrorm. When not pregnant I am size 0-2 in RTW, so I only had to pad the bust/shoulders area though. I simply put a bra on the dressform, filled in the cups, placed some padding on the shoulders and covered with a fitted tee (cut off the sleeves and sewed up the sleeve openings).
