The Village Frock

This is a pattern offered by the ladies behind the Sugar City Journal (http://sugarcityjournal.blogspot.com/).
You can see the pattern here:

I cut size 2 for my DD.

Fabric: Denim

The pattern: It is very well drafted. The only alteration I made was to lengthen the dress with about 3”. The dress has details but is easy to make. The authors of the pattern also offer you EXTENSIVE instructions (they actually come in a booklet) and options of how to make various looks from the same pattern pieces.

I love the dress and I will be making it more for spring/summer as it renders itself to lighter-weight fabrics.

Adorable! And with the knit slouch hat...

I have seen this pattern online, it's nice to see it made by someone I know. What an adorable style for a little girl. Just like something you'd see in an upscale kids boutique.

Your daughter is way more stylish than Suri Cruise! She looks like an NYC baby here.

I LOVE the village frock in denim. You did such a fabulous job! Would you mind it if I use your photos in a post on our blog in the next few days?

It's so nice and the picture is very cute.
I made the servant dress and I have this one too. I'm going to do it in linen.

I think this is so perfect in the light weight denim. Plus the smaller loops are sweet.

I agree this looks like it's straight out of a kiddy couture catalogue.

Great job! I want this now in my size.

From looking at the pattern and directions, how hard do you think it would be to actually make that in an adult size? Please let me know your opinion.
