Denver seems to be void of garment sewing enthusiasts. Your ability and sense of style are impeccable! I'm certain your time is limited with a new baby on the way! Any ideas?

The whole Burda thing is frustrating but where else can you find current style without numerous pattern alterations? Big 4 run large and each pattern sizing seems different. I am new enough to sewing that pattern alteration is a mystery and I find burda patterns easier to manipulate. However, one super-awesome new thing that Burda Fashion is doing is posting its patterns on Burdastyle, so you wouldn't even need to subscribe to the magazine (usually there's only one or two patterns I like or would make anyway) to get the patterns. Hope that encourages some of you!Mskirkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08663411434225995532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934949198246162744.post-19426171120419040922010-06-17T03:48:50.285-06:002010-06-17T03:48:50.285-06:00I'm a fan of Burda and will probably stay, but...I'm a fan of Burda and will probably stay, but the BurdaStyle site is not my cup of tea either, too difficult to access specific things, you need to literally dig to find a thing. I'm sad they're migrating, cause I was so used to go to BWOF and have everything within seconds and just few clicks. I see nothing of the magazine on the Burda Style website. I've tried to like it, but I just don't. I hope in the future there will be a place on Burda Style for the sewers who use and love the magazine.Elarayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06487492651398001387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934949198246162744.post-76335389215573026302010-06-15T02:47:07.234-06:002010-06-15T02:47:07.234-06:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934949198246162744.post-87897475070311578022010-06-11T19:03:45.106-06:002010-06-11T19:03:45.106-06:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934949198246162744.post-23159532249044721182010-06-10T07:32:59.384-06:002010-06-10T07:32:59.384-06:00One word: ARCHIVES!!!! There may be some good stuff on there but it is buried in all the artsy craftsy "look at me and my badly photographed, poorly made latest effort". I want to see inspirational stuff, not icky stuff. In short, Burda Style has a very amateur air.

And really, before they changed from BWOF, didn't anyone tell them what BS means in English? That in itself would justify laying off whoever does their market research!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934949198246162744.post-29334300822826159262010-06-09T00:09:03.025-06:002010-06-09T00:09:03.025-06:00I'll still keep my Burda subscription. I find the BurdaStyle site difficult to navigate, it takes a long time to filter through everything to find substantive, useful info about the patterns. I'm also debating my Burda subscription. After building years of issues, I can find most of what I'd like to make in issues already owned. Of course there's always the "fear" that a missed issue will have a must-have pattern with the very latest updated details, but at what cost? Plus while their photos are much more fashionable now, it's very difficult to see the details in the made-up clothes. Sometimes you can't even see how they really hang on the body. The pages of the dorky crafty things, why? ... I'm thinking of putting the $$ toward a different subscription.debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07672937937132506545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934949198246162744.post-43603330406341319582010-06-08T20:24:18.713-06:002010-06-08T20:24:18.713-06:00BurdaStyle has had that attitude for a while now. ...BurdaStyle has had that attitude for a while now. When they started charging for their previously free download patterns, they didn't ask for any user feedback, or even give anyone notice that they were going to be doing it.
When it first started, I found it to be very a inspirational and helpful site, but after a while it seemed to become very negative and mean. Burda Style is more artsy, some very wardrobe refashiony mentality, but not all of it. Some vintage lovers are on there and there are some good pieces shown. I have seen a few patterns I like, the Alexander blouse, Heidi dress, Elaine's Coffee Date dress, etc., but not the same as BWOF was.
